Mission & Vision

Behold Christ, Build His Church, Bless the Nations

The Vision

Our church seeks first to behold the glory of Christ, lifting our eyes to the One who is seated at the right hand of God and crowned with all authority in heaven and on earth. As we are conformed to His image in worship, Word, and sacrament, we labor to build His Church; rooted in the apostles’ teaching, knit together in love, and devoted to raising up faithful generations. From that foundation, we go forth to bless the nations, proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom, discipling the peoples, and working toward the day when the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.

How We Live

Sabbath Feasting

We believe that the Sabbath principle applies today to us, as Christians, because Jesus Christ hallowed the first day of the week by coming back from the dead, thus entering His rest (Heb 4:10). Therefore, we believe that Sunday should be a day of joy, gladness, rest, and feasting, because we worship a merry God (Zeph. 3:17). We honor this principle by hosting a monthly potluck feast after the service on the first Sunday of every month, and on special feast days during the church calendar.
Psalm Singing
We believe that the Evangelical church has drifted away from singing the Psalms to her own detriment. Our desire is to recapture a love for singing God's Word, believing that He will work incredible transformation in us as we do! To that end, we regularly sing Psalms in worship, at home, and with each other.
Christian Education
We believe that giving our children a Christian education is a Biblical requirement (Ephesians 6:4). The responsibility for providing that education falls upon the father, but we strive, as a community of households, to uphold this standard and enable every Christian child to receive a Christ-centered education.
Koinonia Fellowship
We believe that the life of the church should not be restricted to Sunday morning, because we are one body (1 Cor. 12:12). Thus, we hold a prayer dinner every Thursday evening to gather for prayer, fellowship, and singing, and we have various events happening throughout the month as well.
